Dr Shilpa Chakne(Baviskar),
She is Consultant Pediatrician ie Child specialist and also an Intensivist who treats sick babies needing ICU. She treats babies with all kinds of infections like Tonsillitis, Otitis media, Acute gastroenteritis, Urine infection and Jaundice. She specializes into field of Pediatric Intensive care which means she manages all kinds who need intensive care monitoring like Pneumonia, ARDS, Pleural luid effusion(Fluid in lungs), Liver infections, Kidney infections , Brain infections. She also manages sick babies needing Dialysis, intubations and other emergency procedures.
During her 14 years of service she has saved many lives of sick babies who had severe pneumonia involving more than 2/3 rds of lung, Kidney failure babies needing dialysis . She had also treated and saved lifes of babies who have refractory seizures, were in coma and were brought back to life by her and her team. She had treated babies who had severe jaundice but were saved from Liver transplant by quick action.
She also treats kids with Asthma, Bronchiolits (Type of chest infection in < 5 yr olds) and Convulsions(seizures)
She runs healthy baby clinic for Immunisation and Growth monitoring of babies.
She also runs charity OPD for poor patients and does camps for poor patients
